The 2010 Corporate Landuse Inventory (CLUI) is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary land inventory for Prince Edward Island (PEI) circa 2010.  The 2010 CLUI is an update of the polygon and attributes of the 2000 CLUI. Updates were created by interpretation of aerial photography collected in August 2010 at a scale of 1:10,000. The entire province of PEI was classified into the following landuse or land cover categories: forest, agriculture, wetland, non-evident, transportation, residential, industrial, institutional, commercial, urban, and recreational. The total area including land and fresh water is approximately 569,290 hectares (ha). No new forest stands less than 0.5 ha, and no new wetlands less than 0.25 ha were delineated.   Attributes: FIELDID: Unique polygon number. LANDUSE: Dominant land use category. SUBUSE: Land use subcategory. COVER1: dominant land cover type. PER1: Percentage of the dominant land cover. COVER2: Land cover type which is second most abundant. PER2: Percentage of second land cover type. COVER3: Land cover type which is third most abundant. PER3: Percentage of third land cover type. COVER4: Land cover type which is fourth most abundant. PER4: Percentage of fourth land cover type. COVER5: Land cover type which is fifth most abundant. PER5: Percentage of fifth land cover type. HEIGHT: Average height of trees in meters. CROWN: Percentage density of tree crowns in polygon. SITE: A description of the ground surface for forest polygons where evident. HISTORY1: Interpreted historical land use. HISTORY2: Interpreted historical land use. DEFOILIATI: Percentage of trees which are defoliated. YEAR_: Inventory year. HECTARES: Polygon size in hectares. CLASS1: Dominant wetland cover type. WET_PER1: Percentage of the dominant land cover type. CLASS2: Wetland cover type which is second most abundant. WET_PER2: Percentage of second wetland cover type. CLASS3: Wetland cover type which is third most abundant. WET_PER3: Percentage of third wetland cover type. CLASS4: Wetland cover type which is fourth most abundant. WET_PER4: Percentage of fourth wetland cover type. CLASS5: Wetland cover type which is fifth most abundant. WET_PER5: Percentage of fifth wetland cover type. CLASS6: Wetland cover type which is sixth most abundant. WET_PER6: Percentage of sixth wetland cover type. CLASS7: Wetland cover type which is seventh most abundant. WET_PER7: Percentage of seventh wetland cover type. COVER: The amount and distribution of vegetative subclasses throughout the wetland. INTERSPERS: Degree of vegetation interspersion in the polygon. IMPOUNDMEN: Type of impoundment which contributes to the presence of the wetland. BEAVER: Number of visibly active beaver dams in a wetland. BEAVER0: Number of visibly inactive beaver dams in a wetland. NO_WET_SUB: Number of vegetation subclasses in a wetland. STOCKING: The percentage of the polygon occupied by commercial tree species. DEV_STAGE: Development stage of forest polygons.  WOODSTOCK: Generalized forest cover type based on species composition.
