Published by City of Ottawa in March 2011 Great documentation on existing information on the City’s watersheds and subwatersheds, while providing a characterization of the major watersheds and subwatersheds. It identifies data sources and data gaps and describes the function of the watersheds by examining the interrelationships among key environmental components. Using accurate data allows for proper planning, integration, and restoration. Putting all the data together allows researchers to understand the form, condition, and function of the watershed. ------------ Ce document porte sur les renseignements existants en ce qui concerne les bassins hydrographiques et les sous-bassins hydrographiques d’Ottawa, en plus de proposer une caractérisation des principaux bassins et sous-bassins. Il définit les sources des données et leurs lacunes, et décrit la fonction des bassins hydrographiques en examinant les interrelations entre les composantes environnementales importantes. Utiliser des données exactes permet d’aborder adéquatement la planification, l’intégration et la restauration. La mise en commun des données aide les chercheurs à comprendre la forme, l’état et la fonction d’un bassin hydrographique.
