Advertisements to the Public Service
The GC Jobs website is the recruitment platform that lists federal public service job opportunities and inventories that are external (open to the public) and internal (open to federal public servants).
The Public Service Resourcing System (PSRS) is an electronic tool behind the GC Jobs website. HR specialists use it to post and manage federal public service jobs and inventories on behalf of hiring managers. Using the system, hiring departments and agencies can:
-
prepare and post job advertisements
-
create inventories
-
screen applicants using a variety of screening tools and filters
-
make sure hiring meets legislative requirements
-
manage large volumes of applications
-
communicate with applicants throughout a process
Each dataset contains one fiscal year of advertisements. It includes regular and alternate recruitment advertisements that closed within that fiscal year and that were not cancelled at the end of that fiscal year. Inventory advertisements that span multiple fiscal years are counted in each fiscal year and will appear in multiple datasets.
All application data is suppressed for advertisements with a designated employment equity group used as a criterion for the area of selection.
