Exams prescribed or recognized for certification relating to the sale or use of pesticides

A certificate is required from sellers and users of pesticides who work in the sectors of activity described in the Regulation Respecting Permits and Certificates for the Sale and Use of Pesticides. First application for a certificate To obtain a certificate relating to the sale or use of pesticides, any person must have previously passed the examination prescribed or recognized by the Minister of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks. * The prescribed exams are those that were specifically developed in order to obtain the certificate. The prescribed exams, courses and learning guides relating to the use and sale of pesticides were designed and prepared by the Société de formation à distance des commissions scolaires du Québec (SOFAD) with the collaboration of the Ministry. * Recognized exams are offered as part of a post-secondary program of studies, namely a program of professional, technical or university studies. These exams are recognized for obtaining certain categories or sub-categories of certificates. For each category or sub-category of certificate, this list indicates the exam to be passed, the issuing organization and the documents to be attached when applying for a certificate. For recognized exams, the list also shows the level of training, the program of studies and the conditions of recognition. Datasets must be downloaded to view all of the information contained in them. Certificate renewal Please contact the appropriate regional branch of the Ministry for renewal requirements.
