Ungrouped list of work stoppages in Quebec
[Consult the grouped data] (/search/dataset/liste-des-stops-of-work-in-quebec). The Ministry of Labour is now making available two sets of data based on the strike and lockout notices it receives. # #Données not grouped: The ungrouped data corresponds to the “raw” version of the information sent to the Ministry of Labor on each strike or lockout taken separately, according to the union certification affected. These show each strike or lockout without the events related to a joint negotiation having been grouped together. This data makes it possible to see all the events recorded individually, even if some are part of the same work stoppage, as well as the details for each accreditation concerned, which gives a more detailed picture of the situation. # #Données grouped together: Groupings consist in counting several events of a joint negotiation as a single work stoppage (a single event: work stoppage) when they are part of the same joint negotiation, even if this event concerns several union or employer certifications. Indeed, sometimes several unions and employers negotiate a single collective agreement together. To better reflect this reality, these events are grouped together and counted as a single work stoppage, where applicable, in the Department's statistics, even if they affect several groups. The annual reports on work stoppages, published by the Ministry of Labour, are produced on the basis of these combined data. Note that the data for the year 2022 and following are preliminary and are currently being processed by the Ministry of Labor. For previous years, the final data are presented in the [annual reports of work stoppages] (https://www.travail.gouv.qc.ca/publications/bilans-statistiques-annuels/bilan-des-arrets-de-travail/) distributed by the Ministry of Labor.
