Active Recreation

The approximate boundaries of buildings, sports fields, playgrounds, pools, splash pads, and major parks in Peel Region.

The approximate boundaries of buildings, fields, and playgrounds that are used for the purpose of active recreation.  The types of active recreation included are: playgrounds, playing fields (soccer, football, cricket, baseball, running tracks, tennis, etc.), sports & recreation centres, arenas, swimming pools, golf courses, and a major municipal, conservation, and provincial parks.

Attempts were made to only include features that are on public lands, i.e. municipal parks, conservation areas, and publicly funded school board lands.  Some features, such as golf courses and ski hills, may or may not be open to the public.

These sites are not necessarily open to the public and users should follow posted signage and warnings.
