York Regional Police (YRP) is committed to making the Community Safety Data Portal accessible, delivering a user friendly experience for everyone including those with disabilities. YRP’s Community Safety Data Portal is built using Esri’s ArcGIS Online cloud-based software. The core Esri ArcGIS Online products used to are ArcGIS Hub, ArcGIS Dashboards, and ArcGIS Experience Builder. AODA audits are completed regularly for compliance. We realize that with mapping applications there may be accessibility gaps. We will continue to monitor accessibility requirements in all application upgrades to ensure the portal is as accessible as possible. Translation options available · Pointer Gestures: User can use +/- keys on map if they cannot pinch to zoom · Option to choose an application version that dynamically adjusts to various device/page/screen sizes · Instructions and labels are provided when input is required from user · Font/spacing/paragraph and padding is automatically set to comply with AODA · Submit buttons/forms have ‘type’ set for screen reading devices · Clean code.
