Dormant Well Annual Work Plan Location

The Dormant Well Annual Work Plan (DMS_DORMANT_WELL_AWP_PT) point layer shows the well or former site locations where a permit holder is planning closure work activities (decommissioning, assessment, or restoration) for a calendar year.

The Dormancy and Shutdown Regulation requires permit holders whose portfolio includes dormant and/or former wells to submit an Annual Work Plan for each calendar year.  The Annual Work Plan outlines any planned closure work activities (decommissioning, assessment, or restoration) in the calendar year.

Note, the work planned information may include closure work planned at non-dormant site addition to dormant and former sites. Please refer to the Dormant Sites Program Manual for additional information.
