Areas representing environmental protection and management regulation through ministerial orders and agreements that recognize areas of importance. These work in conjunction with several other dataset found in the BC Data Catalogue - see Description.
Areas representing environmental protection and management regulation through ministerial orders and agreements that recognize areas of importance. These ministerial orders represent Ungulate Winter Range, OGMA’s, Wildlife Habitat Areas, Community Watersheds and Fisheries Sensitive Areas. Additional recognized areas of importance include the Flathead Watershed Area, Caribou moratorium areas, "Blueberry River First Nations Designated Area No. 1" (Ministerial Order 405/2021 (gov.bc.ca)) and the K’ih tsaaʔdze Protection Area (Order in Council 314/2026).
