Together for Wildlife Strategy - Project Information
Together for Wildlife is the new provincial strategy to improve wildlife and habitat stewardship across British Columbia. It was built collaboratively through engagement with Indigenous peoples, rural communities, academic institutions, a wide range of stakeholder organizations, and the public. The strategy includes additional funding, proactive objectives, and improved data and knowledge – all supported by new policies, strong partnerships, and dedicated resources. This new approach commits to advancing reconciliation with Indigenous peoples through shared governance and mutual respect. The Together for Wildlife strategy includes 5 goals and 24 actions to achieve the vision that wildlife and their habitats thrive, are resilient, and support and enrich the lives of all British Columbians.
The dashboard displays information about provincial and regional projects that were funded by Together for Wildlife. Projects are associated with a particular goal and action under the strategy, and focus on the stewardship of wildlife species and their habitats, as well as related communications and engagement. Currently, the dashboard includes projects funded during 2020-2021, and additional years of data will be added annually.
The spreadsheet includes project information that forms the basis for the dashboard, such as the location, dollar amounts of funding, and achievements.
