Forest Tenure Cut Permit Polygons
"DEPRECATED - Layers prefaced with FTEN are updated and maintained on an on-going and continuous basis as tenures are issued. This is the spatial layer reflecting operational activities.
The spatial layer for a cut permit, which is a legal area cleared by the Ministry of Forests (that is, no other claims for the land exist) for harvesting purposes. This corresponds to the outlined areas on the Exhibit A maps. Contains cutting permits for Forest Licence(A01), Tree Farm Licence(A02), Timber Sale Licence(A03), Woodlot Licence(A04), Timber Licence(A06), Timber Sale Licence Minor (A26,A27), Community Forest(A28), Non-Replaceable Forest Licence(A25) There is no foreign key relationship in FTA to get the cutting permit information. The cutting permit is part of the timbermark table which has timbermark as the primary key. Changing the FTA model was too high risk to keep the timelines so a decision was made to leave it as was. Therefore the business key for this entity is not shown as a foreign key relationship. In the future it is expected that the cutting permit and timbermark will be separated. The Forest Tenures Section (FTS) is responsible for the creation and maintenance of digital Forest Atlas files for the province of British Columbia encompassing Forest and Range Act Tenures. It also supports the forest resources programs delivered by the Ministry of Forests.
