Soil Series Factsheets The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA) has produced a set of soil series factsheets that describe various soil properties, management challenges, chemical and physical attributes and example soil profiles. These factsheets provide producers, agronomists, and other stakeholders with information to support sustainable farm management. The guide offers additional context and information for using and interpreting the factsheets. It explains how to interpret the OMAFA soil series factsheets, understand soil classification and identify management challenges. By using this guide, in combination with the soil series factsheets, users will gain additional insight to make informed decisions about farm management, drainage requirements and soil management practices specific to Ontario's diverse soil landscapes.
