Enteric Outbreaks
Summary of enteric outbreaks in Ottawa based on the most up to date information available in iPHIS.
Update frequency: Weekly during the influenza season (i.e. when 5% or more of samples submitted for laboratory testing are positive for influenza).
Accuracy - Points of consideration for interpretation of the data: The data was extracted by Ottawa Public Health from the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s integrated Public Health Information System (iPHIS). iPHIS is a dynamic disease reporting system that allows for ongoing updates to data previously entered. The data extracted from iPHIS represent a snapshot at the time of extraction and may differ in previous or subsequent reports.

- Week Number – epidemiological week number (i.e. epi week)
- Start of the Week – date
- Number of Enteric Outbreaks in Schools, Camps, and Licensed Child Care
- Number of Enteric Outbreaks in Healthcare Institutions
- Number of Enteric Outbreaks in Congregate Care
- Previous 3 Season Average of Enteric Outbreaks in Schools, Camps, and Licensed Child Care
- Previous 3 Season Average of Enteric Outbreaks in Healthcare Institutions
- Previous 3 Season Average of Enteric Outbreaks in Congregate Care
