Storm Detention Pond

The City's Water and Drainage Division operates and maintains current infrastructure to ensure required service levels are provided. It also oversees the planning, design and construction of the citywide drainage system. Data will include active, inactive, and abandoned features.  Dataset updated continuously. Click the Download button to access the entire Storm dataset. This dataset is an update to the City's historic stormwater pond point feature class. Points have been converted to polygons, important existing fields have been maintained, and new design- and operation-related fields have been developed. In addition to the Stormwater Pond polygons, a supporting pond catchment area feature class has been developed along with a stormwater pond berm layer. These GIS features were developed based on the Stormwater Pond Pre-condition Assessment Data Population by Logan Pike in 2022 and the Stormwater Pond Asset Renewal Program Study by AECOM in 2025. More details on the methodology and source for the final GIS deliverables can be found in AECOM’s report. This data will be the subject of continual improvement based on field investigations and additional analysis from Wastewater Operations and Utility Planning. It is a living dataset.
