RoadWorks Map
To provide a single online map source for all current and planned upcoming street closures, and sidewalk closures/disruptions.
RoadWorks Map is an online map indicating the location of planned street and sidewalk closures in the Halifax Regional Municipality.Click on the location of a closure to access details such as the start and end date, type of closure, permit number and more.
Current closures refer to those scheduled to occur between the listed start and end dates.
Upcoming closures refer to those scheduled to begin in the next seven (7) days.
Web-map Layers Specifications:
- Open Data Layers; Sidewalk Closures/Disruptions (Active), Street Closures (Active), and Sidewalk Repair (Active)
- Upcoming Layers are hosted in ArcGIS Online - Are not available in Open Data
- Time filters are used on Sidewalk Closures/Disruptions (Active), Street Closures (Active), and Sidewalk Repair (Active), Upcoming Sidewalk Closures/Disruptions, Upcoming Street Closures, and Upcoming Sidewalk Repair
- Sidewalk Closures/Disruptions (Active), Street Closures (Active), and Sidewalk Repair (Active) are copies of the raw data which is filtered based on "Approved" status field and disappear after the End Date
- Built-in Filter = (END_DATE+1 >= CURRENT_DATE AND START_DATE <= CURRENT_DATE) AND CLOSURE_STAGE = 'Approved'
- Upcoming Sidewalk Closures/Disruptions, Upcoming Street Closures, and Upcoming Sidewalk Repair are copies of the raw data which is filtered based on "Approved" status field and appear when the start date is 7 days from the present day
- Built-in Filter = (START_DATE <= CURRENT_DATE +7 AND START_DATE > CURRENT_DATE) AND CLOSURE_STAGE = 'Approved'
