Known and approximate footprints in Peel Region. Includes active cemeteries as well as historic cemeteries and plots.

A cemetery is a spatially defined area where the remains of deceased people are buried or are otherwise interred. The term "cemetery" implies that the land is specifically designated as a burial ground. There are two types of polygons, one showing exact location and property line and the other indicating approximate location based on the lot & concession found in records. This dataset contains all confirmed locations of known cemeteries in the Region of Peel.

Please respect private property and sites.  This data should be used as a research tool.

Cemeteries were collected and identified through Provincial records, property codes, parcel fabric owner information, lots & concessions, and aerial photography interpretation.
