Permafrost Data Nunavik - Understanding Permafrost to Support Land Use Planning of the village of Salluit

Web App to improve access to climate and permafrost data collected by the Centre d'études nordiques (CEN) from multiple monitoring stations in Salluit (Nunavik, Northern Quebec) and other tools and resources, in order to support the land use planning of the village which faces severe constraints imposed by permafrost.

This Web App is including climate and permafrost data recorded in the village of Salluit in Nunavik. The time period of the data is about 2002 to 2020. The CEN is currently working on methods of real-time transmission to improve the update of the information.

  •     Permafrost data;
  •     Dashboard for landslide risk monitoring in Salluit: Active-layer detachment failures;
  •     Various permafrost development tools.
