Provincial Voting Results
Note: 2024 Provincial General Election voting results are tabulated in the provincial_voting_results_by_voting_place.csv file.
This dataset contains two tables that consolidate voting results information for provincial electoral events including information on the number of voters considered and the candidates who ran for election. Voting results are broken down by electoral event, electoral district, voting opportunity, party affiliation, candidate and either voting area (VA) or voting place according to the election date.
provincial_voting_results_by_VA.csv breaks down voting results by VA and includes electoral events between 2005 and 2020, inclusive. In these elections, votes were administered and counted at stations corresponding to each geographic voting area with an electoral district.
provincial_voting_results_by_voting_place.csv breaks down voting results by voting place and includes electoral events after 2020. 2024 Provincial General Election voting results are contained in this table. In these elections, votes were administered and counted using ballot boxes for voting places as a whole. This includes votes cast by voters who live in the electoral district, but not in a voting area assigned to the voting place.
