Provincial Site Productivity Layer
The Provincial Site Productivity Layer (PSPL) provides site index estimates province - wide for commercial tree species. The estimates are based on available ecosystem data (spatial delineations and descriptions) from existing PEM (Predictive Ecosystem Mapping) and TEM (Terrestrial Ecosystem Mapping) datasets, coupled with SIBEC (Site Index Estimates by BEC Site Series: 2013 Approximation) data. In areas where no PEM or TEM data are available, site index estimates are based on biophysical data and species ranges.
Version 8.0 of the PSPL data is available for download in 2 formats:
