Omineca Watershed Hazard Assessment - Data - BC Cumulative Effects Framework - 2019 Assessment
NOTE: This dataset is the result of an analysis of many input layers and as such the accuracy, currency, and completeness of the dataset cannot be relied upon for operational use.
This geodatabase contains the outputs to support the published Current Condition Report for GIS-Based Watershed Hazard in the Omineca Region, also known as the Omineca Watershed Hazard Assessment. The feature class is CCR_WATERSHED_ASSESSMENT_2023_NB. Also included in the zip file is a data dictionary.
This report presents a GIS indicator-based watershed risk assessment procedure applicable for broadscale assessment of cumulative watershed effects in the snowmelt-dominated hydrologic regime of the Omineca Natural Resource Region of British Columbia.
The protocols for the Omineca Assessment largely follows those laid out for the Thompson-Okanagan Region A GIS Indicator-Based Watershed Assessment Procedure for Assessing Cumulative Watershed Effects – 2016. The specific differences can be seen in the data dictionary.
Please refer to the Aquatics Ecosystem Value website for related project information, as well as additional Cumulative Effects Framework (CEF) documents such as protocols, reports and online tools.
