Census Profiles for BC Provincial Electoral Districts

Compilations of descriptive statistics from the Census of Population specific to British Columbia and each of its provincial electoral districts. These semi-custom Census Profiles include statistics describing age and gender, families and household types, housing, labour and income, immigration and citizenship, mobility and migration, commuting and place of work, education, ethnocultural and religious diversity, and languages (see Related Links for more information).

All statistics are based on Census data tabulations produced by Statistics Canada. Census Profiles are specific to a Census release year and electoral district boundary set; by law, provincial electoral districts are subject to boundary changes after every second provincial general election. The combinations of Census year and electoral boundaries redistribution covered by this dataset include:

• 2016 Census, 2015 Electoral Boundaries Redistribution (87 districts)
• 2021 Census, 2023 Electoral Boundaries Redistribution (93 districts)

As an alternative to the CSV data files, 2021 Census Profile summary reports by individual electoral district in PDF format can be accessed from the Legislative Library of British Columbia website (see Related Links).
