Algae Watch Submitted Observations Interactive Map

Algae Watch is an educational program for citizen science data gathering. The goal of the program is to help people recognize and identify algae blooms in B.C. lakes.

The intent of this map is to share information submitted by the public via the Algae Watch webpage. Please note that:

• The Algae Watch team reviews all information submitted and results posted are condensed version of original submissions

• The observations are used to track, understand and communicate information on potential harmful algal blooms around B.C.

• NOTE: The information posted is unverified and insufficient alone to determine whether the potential algae bloom is a risk to human or animal health.

• Observations will be available on this map for a calendar year, after which they will be archived and available upon request
