Alberta highway historical ESAL report

Highway Equivalent Single Axle Loading or ESAL reports are prepared for use by consultants undertaking pavement designs for Alberta Transportation. The ESAL history reports allow consultants undertaking pavement designs to evaluate the reasonableness of the present ESAL value. ESAL values in the history reports may fluctuate from year to year. Statistics are estimated from data collected for Alberta Transportation by its contractors and are given as weighted averages over entire highways, control sections and traffic control sections.
