Settlements

This dataset was created to consolidate the rural settlement areas defined in the official plans of the four townships within the Region of Waterloo into one dataset to facilitate GIS analysis. The settllements dataset represents the Rural Settlement areas, Industrial/Commercial areas, Commercial areas, and Rural Mixed Use Clusters that are defined in each of the official plans of the Township of North Dumfries, Township of Wilmot, Township of Wellesley, and Township of Woolwich. As well, the Towship Urban Areas (TUAs) as defined in the Regional Official Policies Plan (ROPP) are also represented. The dataset is for convenient, general reference and DOES NOT replace the original paper documents in each of the Local Official Plans. To ensure accuracy, the orignal documents of approval should be consulted.(Last edited 2012-11-22)
