Dans le Plan d’action interministériel en itinérance 2015-2020 — Mobilisés et engagés pour prévenir et réduire l’itinérance, le ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) s’est engagé à réaliser un deuxième portrait de l’itinérance au Québec visant à accroître sa compréhension du phénomène de l’itinérance en se basant sur différents types d’indicateurs et de méthodologies. Le dénombrement réalisé au printemps 2018 représente l’un de ces indicateurs. Le dénombrement fait l’objet d’une entente entre les gouvernements du Québec et du Canada. Il s’est déployé au sein d’un dénombrement pancanadien, auquel ont participé une soixantaine de collectivités à travers le pays, entre le 1er mars et le 30 avril 2018. |
