The Open Data team launched a campaign in order to help identify as well as prioritize the release of high-quality, in-demand datasets related to the City’s 5 priority civic issues:
Affordable Housing Poverty Reduction Climate Change Fiscal Responsibility Mobility Through the distribution of an online questionnaire, members of the public were asked to answer three questions that together will help gauge public interest around the City’s 5 priority areas in relation to open data: (1) What civic issues are you most interested in? (2) What data should be made available to address the civic issue(s)? (3) How might the data be used?
The Questionnaire was live between July 16th, 2019 and October 2nd 2019 and was shared publicly through the following channels: Twitter, LinkedIn, and the TransformTO and Open Data Update newsletters.
Together, the responses collected will help identify potential datasets for future release, as well as calculate their level of priority. More information around the Open Data Priority Framework is available online.
Limitations Personal identifying information was omitted. Only fully completed responses were included.
