These regions are derived from amalgamating the 8 Natural Resource Regions into the 5 Mining Regions. Users of this dataset may direct any questions to the __[Regional Mining Offices](https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content?id=6119E7C4F9304A1E990FD6D7AFDF1873)__ assigned to each administrative region. Spatially, the boundaries of the Mining Regions are identical to the outer boundaries of the NR Regions.
